Seventh Tradition Reminder

SCA’s 7th Tradition states that “Every SCA group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.”

Contributions to Online Intergroup help to offset the cost of our website and conference call service, of producing and distributing SCA literature, and of carrying out SCA’s mission to be there for sexual compulsives seeking recovery. We ask that you contribute if you can through Online Intergroup’s website. Contributions for attending online and telephone meetings may be made to SCA Online Intergroup electronically via PayPal, or by check in US funds drawn on a US bank.

The suggested donation amount is US$2.00 or more per regular meeting. Online meetings do not have a fixed format or length like in-person or telephone meetings (which usually last an hour), but a way to calculate a comparable contribution amount is to estimate online attendance by the hour. However, to minimize financial institution service charges, it is very much preferable for members to make periodic lump sum 7th Tradition contributions averaged out for their typical meeting attendance, rather than making individual contributions after a particular meeting. The suggested minimum lump-sum contribution amount is US$10.00 or more.

In addition to one-off donations, the Online Intergroup website has a feature which allows SCA Online Intergroup to accept regular recurring donations via PayPal. Members may wish to use this convenient feature to set up automatic monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual direct debits to their PayPal accounts for their 7th Tradition contributions to Online Intergroup. This is helpful and preferred, as it provides Online Intergroup with a predictable income stream.

To make a donation, or to see details for the various features, please click on “Donate” at the top of any page of our website, or go HERE.

There are no dues or fees for SCA membership, but we do have expenses. Contributions are voluntary. If you can, please consider making a contribution in support of the fellowship.

If you are not in a position to make a financial contribution, please remember that your presence at the meetings is what matters!

In service,

Online Intergroup of SCA
